Japanese Anime Character Portraits - Aoba Suzukaze from New Game!
This is a continuing fanart series I started, where I take my favorite anime characters and make portraits of them with a tag above them that is either a name of or reference to the character/show. In this one, I chose to do a portrait for Aoba Suzukaze from New Game!. I started this series in to "find" and "grow" my style of art, using the Graphic Design knowledge I currently possess. I would love to do detailed character illustrations in the future, but for now, I'm content with this style/approach to the fanart I make.
ADDENDUM: I made a design proofs for a hypothetical tee.
"NEWGIRL" - In this one, being the PRIMARY piece, I went with the tag "newgirl" because in the anime "New Game!", she's the new hire at the game development firm "Eagle Jump", which developed her favorite fantasy RPG, "Fairies Story".
"AOCHI" - In this one, I went with the tag "Aochi" because it's the nickname her bestfriend, Nene, calls her by.
"AOBA" - In this one, I went with the character's first name, Aoba.
"SUZUKAZE" - In this one, I went with the character's last name, Suzukaze.
