KONAMI x NINTENDO "B A BADASS" Tee Design

This piece was done for a student project in my Advanced Illustrator class. The objective of the project was to make a design for a shirt, and properly format the colors for printing. Whenever it comes to making a design for something practical, I ask "What would I wear?"... "What would I hang on my wall?"... "What do I like?". So, keeping such questions in mind, for his design, I decided to go for one of my passions - Gaming. When making this design, I wanted to work two references into a motto or mantra of sorts. That said, I decided to take the "Konami Code", and pair it with the word "BADASS" in the Nintendo style, and the motto I worked into the design was "Be A Badass". Once put together, I ended with the "B" and "A" in the Konami code preceding "BADASS", so it reads as "B A BADASS". Technically, it's read as "Up-Up, Down-Down, Left-Right, Left-Right, B, A, BADASS". As the shirt says, "B A BADASS"! Now go out there and just BE A BADASS!
